The National Forum of Engineering Scientific Societies at the University of Technology.

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and organized by the Green Education and Sustainability Research Association, the National Forum of Engineering Scientific Associations was held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in the presence of Professor Dr. Haider Abd Dahd, the Scientific Deputy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Supreme Council of Scientific Associations, with wide participation from heads and representatives of scientific and engineering associations, and hosted by the University of Technology.

The forum discussed a number of pivotal issues related to the role of scientific and engineering associations in supporting national development projects, activating consulting offices, and preparing professional and regulatory codes to contribute to enhancing governance and the quality of institutional performance.

The forum sessions witnessed constructive discussions that emphasized the importance of enhancing institutional integration among scientific associations and redefining their role as an effective partner in supporting decision-making, building capacities, and serving society, thereby supporting the progress of higher education and scientific research and contributing to achieving sustainable development in Iraq.
