About Us

The Supreme Council of Scientific Associations operates in accordance with the Scientific Associations Law No. 55 of 1981, as amended, which aims to regulate the affairs of scientific associations; provide the requirements for their work, support them, and coordinate their activities.

It consists of: 1 – The heads of scientific associations established under this law. 2 – A representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research holding the position of Director General at minimum. 3 – A number of experts and specialists representing relevant ministries and institutions as determined by the council. 4 – The membership term in the council is three years. 5 – Council members elect from among themselves, by secret ballot, a president, a vice president, a secretary, and a treasurer.
