The Minister of Communications discusses cooperation with the Information Technology Association and receives an invitation to attend a specialized workshop on generation technologies.

His Excellency the Minister of Communications, Mr. Mustafa Sana, received the President of the Iraqi Association for Information and Communications Technology, Dr. Ali Nasser Al-Khuwaidi, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Association's Secretary-General, Dr. Yasser Al-Jawhar, and the Director of the Association's Consulting Office, Dr. Haider Radi. Attending from the ministry were Advisor Mr. Bassam Al-Zaidi and a number of general directors.
During the meeting, prospects for cooperation and joint coordination between the ministry and the association were reviewed on issues of mutual interest, particularly files related to international organizations, providing technical and engineering consultations, as well as developing training programs in various technology and communications fields.
In a related context, the association's administration extended an official invitation to His Excellency the Minister to attend and have the ministry participate in the specialized workshop to be held soon titled (5G Technologies: Economic and Service Impact, Challenges and Solutions), which will shed light on the current status and future of this technology in Iraq.
The meeting resulted in an agreement by both parties to begin drafting a joint memorandum of understanding to frame this cooperation, along with continuous coordination to hold workshops and scientific conferences that support the sector and keep pace with digital development in the country.
